Bandhua Mukti Morcha v. Union of India

In this landmark case, PIL was filed in Supreme Court of India to give directions to the state of Uttar Pradesh to check child exploitation in the industrial belt of the state , thereafter the apex Court gave several directions to various states in order to eradicate employment of children in various industries in the country.

M.C Mehta v. Union of India

In this case the petitioner approached the Supreme Court of India to save the river Ganga which was being polluted by the presence of large number of dairies in the city of Kanpur, the Court took cognizance of the fact that problem of pollution of water in the river Ganga was acute and therefore, it issued various directions to the Kanpur Nagar Mahapalika to prevent pollution of river Ganga.

Vishaka v. State of Rajasthan

A PIL was filed in the Supreme Court of India under article 32 of the Constitution of India to highlight sexual harassment of women at workplace, due to absence of any prevailing law with respect to the said issue the Court issued various guidelines to be followed by every organization to prevent sexual harassment of women at workplace.
